SAP PS Data Migration Consultant (m/f/d)
Project Scope: Support the planning and execution of data migration activities within an SAP S/4HANA transformation program, focusing on the SAP Project System (PS) module.
Responsibilities:
As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for providing consultative Business and System Integration services to help clients implement effective solutions. Understand and translate customer needs into business and technology solutions. Drive discussions and consult on transformation, the customer journey, functional/application designs and ensure technology and business solutions represent business requirements. Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. Responsible for team decisions. Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. Intermediate proficiency in SAP Project System (PS) is required. Intermediate level of proficiency in SAP Data Migration is recommended. SAP Master Data Migration with Intermediate proficiency and SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing with Intermediate proficiency are suggested skills.
· Analyze existing project structures (e.g., WBS elements, networks, activities, milestones, status profiles)
· Define and align migration objects relevant to SAP PS / CPM
· Support data extraction from legacy systems (SAP ECC or non-SAP)
· Design and implement transformation and mapping rules for PS-related data
· Configure and use SAP data migration tools (LSMW, BAPIs, SAP Data Services)
· Support test migrations, data consistency checks, and quality assurance
· Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and the central migration team
· Document migration approach, outcomes, and lessons learned
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on experience in SAP PS with a focus on data migration
- In-depth knowledge of project structures, networks, settlement rules, status management, and PS master data
- Experience with SAP migration tools
- Familiarity with integration points to related modules like CO, SD, MM, PPM, or FI-AA
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA migrations is a strong advantage
- Analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong communication skills
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
