For our Client in Asia, we are looking for a VP of Sales (m/w/d)
Position Overview
The VP of Sales – Germany will be a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives and revenue growth in the German market. This role will require a seasoned sales executive with deep relationships across the German telecom landscape, particularly with Tier 1 operators such as Telecome. Vodafone etc. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of closing high-value deals, especially in Set-Top Box (STB), Broadband CPE, and related Telco infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Leadership
- Define and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the German market.
- Align local sales objectives with the company’s global revenue targets and product roadmap.
- Serve as the local market voice for product development and marketing teams.
- Market Development & Business Expansion
- Lead market entry and growth strategy for Germany, including identifying new accounts and untapped verticals.
- Build and manage local partnerships, distribution channels, and system integrators.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer forums.
- High-Level Account Management
- Own and expand relationships with key accounts including Telecome, Vodafone etc..
- Lead complex negotiations with major Telcos, including tender processes and framework agreements.
- Develop tailored solutions in coordination with technical, product, and pre-sales teams.
- Team Building & Performance Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team in Germany.
- Set and monitor KPIs, sales targets, and incentive structures.
- Reporting & Forecasting
- Provide regular sales forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance reporting to global HQ.
- Monitor competitive activity and regulatory developments in the German telecom market.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of proven sales experience in the telecom or consumer electronics industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Strong network and established relationships within Telekom, Vodafone, 1&1 , Freenet.
- Deep understanding of Set-Top Box, Broadband CPE, Wi-Fi solutions, and telecom value chains.
- Fluent in German and English (both verbal and written).
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience in cross-functional leadership across international teams is a strong plus.
